Our Latest Work

Here’s a selection of some of the latest creations from Stone Mad Masonry. From statues to staircases, village signs to full barn conversions – we’ve done the lot!

Dancing Couple Statue

I call this sculpture the first dance. I have been working on this piece for nearly two years. The piece is six foot six. The circle of flowers on the arm is representing eternity.

The idea of the shape of the heads is there minds are empty apart from that moment in time, the dance and there love.

Floating Stone Staircase

Created for Private Client – Harrogate
This floating staircase forms part of a larger barn conversion and was created for a client in Harrogate.

Stone Fireplaces and Surrounds

We’ve worked on many fire surrounds, including the ‘Holding Hands’ piece shown below. The idea here is a parents love for their child and that there hand is always there. My daughter Lexie (3) was very patient as she held a paintbrush as I took measurements and scale.

Prince William & Kate – New Coat of Arms

Work in progress
I am currently working on Prince William & Kate’s new ‘Coat of Arms’.

Smaller Items for Sale

I have some smaller pieces of sculpture work available for sale – simply contact me if you are interested.

Cow Statue/Seat

This seat is carved out of a three ton block of Ancaster Limestone from Lincolnshire. I choose this stone for sculptures as it has beautiful shades of colour varying from pink/red to blue.

Large Barn Conversion

Created for Private Client – Harrogate
This large barn conversion project is currently on-going just outside Harrogate. A sizable project which showcases my work on window-sills and surrounds ans well as archways and entrances.

Below is a small selection of our ‘Signage’ work. One in particular is the ‘Little Ribston’ village sign.

The project here was to design two village signs. The theme was the famous Ribston Pippin Apple well known in the Harrogate area.

Working closely with the lovely Mrs Bell, we designed the signs and after all agreeing we set to work. We had to work with the local highway agency to decide the position of the signs and also show our qualification for working on the roadside.

We set them in place with our heavy lifting equipment and were very pleased with the end result.

Various Projects
